Inside our chicken dog gravy

Real ingredients, clearly listed. Our chicken dog gravy is a chilled topper made in Northern Ireland, ready to pour over your dog’s usual complete food.

The full recipe

Composition: Water, Beef Bone Broth (11%), Chicken (5.7%), Peas (5.6%), Carrots (3.8%), Potato Starch, Flaxseed Oil (0.4%), Turmeric Powder (0.3%), Dried Parsley.

These are the ingredients listed for our current chicken recipe. Always check the composition on the pouch you receive, particularly if your dog needs to avoid an ingredient.

Chicken gravy, with beef bone broth

Chicken is in the name, and beef bone broth is in the recipe. We make that clear because choosing food for a dog with an allergy means looking at the whole ingredient list.

This is not a single-protein or beef-free recipe. It contains both chicken and beef-derived ingredients.

What goes into the pour

  • Beef bone broth and chicken: the animal ingredients in this recipe.
  • Peas and carrots: the vegetables in the mix.
  • Potato starch: helps give the gravy its texture.
  • Flaxseed oil, turmeric and dried parsley: included in the amounts shown in the composition.

The analytical constituents

Crude protein 3.63%; crude fat 1.6%; crude fibre 0.4%; crude ash 0.3%; moisture 91.2%.

Made to top their usual food

Our gravy is a complementary feed for dogs. Serve it with a complete dog food and follow the feeding guide on the pouch. It is not a complete meal or a product for human consumption.

The recipe development work was supported by CAFRE at Loughry through an Invest NI Innovation Voucher. Read CAFRE’s account of the project.

Birdy reads the ingredients. Bran hears the pouch.
