Two retired racing greyhounds started this. Every pouch you buy helps the next dog get a second chance.
They're not mascots. They're the reason this company exists.
Bran used to race under the name Droopys Trawler. He was fast — genuinely, competitively fast — and for a while, that was his whole job.
Then he retired, the way every racing greyhound eventually does. What happened next was down to luck: whether someone had space, time, and a reason to take him in.
We did. And it changed what we wanted to build.
Racing as Droopys Trawler, Bran was drawn on the outside track for the 2018 William Hill Northern Puppy Derby Final — and by the first bend he was dead last.
Then he came around the entire field and won. That's the whole Bran story in one clip: counted out early, never actually beaten. It's the determination behind "pet products, with purpose" — and the reason this company exists.

Birdy never won any trophies. She never got a name check, a rosette, or a fast time. By racing standards, she didn't achieve anything.
But she won our hearts — and that's the part the racing world never measured.
Bran gave us the origin story.
Birdy gave us the reason it matters.
We didn't set out to build a pet food brand. We set out to give two dogs a good life — and once we had them, we noticed how much better ours got too.
Not every retired or rescued dog is that lucky. Some wait a long time for a home. Some don't get one at all.
Bran & Birdy's exists so that buying dinner for your dog can also be a small, repeatable act of helping someone else's.
